“Padhna Likhna Abhiyan” Inaugural Ceremony

Bhilai Education Charitable Trust (BECT) participated in ‘Padhna Likhna Abhiyan’ and organised a ceremony at Maitri Vidya Niketan, Risali Center on Saturday, 10-July -2021. ‘Padhna likhna Abhiyan’ is a programme by the Department of School Education & Literacy Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The principle target of the programme is to impart functional literacy to the non-literate and non-numerate adults across the country in the age group of 15 years and above. The distinctive guests present on this occasion were Mr. Anoop Dey (Alderman, Risali), Mr. Abhay Jaiswal (Asst. Project Officer, Samagra Shiksha, Durg and Nodal Officer- Padhna Likhna Abhiyan), Mrs. Kalpana Swami (Asst. Director, Education dept.), Mr. Sajeev Sudhakaran (Director-MVN School & Trustee – BECT), Mr. Govind Sao (Block Officer), Mr. Devendra Tiwari (HM, Govt. M.S. Risali). The program went smoothly with the support of volunteer teachers Mrs. S. Mamta and Mrs. Sonali Biswas. Special thanks to our BECT volunteers : Paridhi, Fanesh, Rashmi and Karuna who assisted the programme and helped by donating notebooks and pens to the illiterate

Webinar on Career Guidance

On Saturday 19-June -2021, Bhilai Education Charitable Trust organised a webinar focusing on providing expert career guidance to students from Classes 9th to 12th. Dr. Kishor Dutta (MD Physician, PGDM, Certified Coach and Trainer, Ex Consultant UNICEF) was the Guest Speaker. The webinar was very informative and gave students an insight on courses and trends in higher education which will aid in helping them choose streams according to their expectations. The webinar was attended by 100 participants. We would like to thank our distinguished Guest Speaker, Dr. Kishor Dutta for enlightening us with his knowledge and all the students for their sincere participation and helping us to make this webinar a great success. ” If one wants to learn, then language can’t be a barrier”

BECT is determined to help students to learn and be ready for the dynamic world. Students who belong to hindi medium schools and un-advanced backgrounds find english language challenging. Thus we realised a great need for the Spoken English classes.This year BECT has pledged to provide Spoken English classes for free and online to 200 students.For the same purpose we have a contract with Dev Spoken English Classes, New Civic Center Bhilai.

Kusum Sinha our student from JEE NEET program,  got admission in Govt. Engineering College, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. She also scored 85% in CGBSE.

She was a student of government Adarsh Kanya Vidhaylaya, Durg and with her hard work and dedication, she cleared JEE Mains and PET Exam 2019.

Moving on to a new stage in life can be a challenging process. BECT wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors.

Lucky Dewangan has registered 6th merit position in the Chhattisgarh Board (CGBSE) with a score of 95.2%.

More than 10 students have scored 80% and above in CGBSE, Six of our students have cleared JEE Mains 2019 and two of our students have qualified NEET.

These students are from various government schools and with their hard work and dedication they are constantly making us proud. The result this year seems like a deja vu.

We are extremely proud to share this Brilliant news that Mr. Abhay Pandey has donated Rs.10 Crores to IIT Mumbai.
Abhay is an integral part of Bhilai Education Charitable Trust. He is alumnus of EMMS-IX and Senior Secondary School Sector 10 after which he went to study at IIT Mumbai and IIM Kolkata. He is a General Partner at A91 Partners.
