Provided Tablets

Due to the Covid19 pandemic all the study centers across nations have been indefinitely closed. It is not affecting the privileged sections of society due to the availability of various electronic gadgets and schools also changing the teaching methods to online classes. BECT provided tablets to 2 of our underprivileged students, so that they can resume online classes and utilize their time more constructively.

BECT Poster Contest Prize distribution ceremony.

BECT Poster Contest Prize distribution ceremony was organized at the District Education Office, Durg.

Bhilai Education Charitable Trust conducted an online Poster Contest on the Topic “Coronavirus”. We received over 266 posters from participants of various schools of Bhilai-Durg. Mr. S. Swarnkar (Ex-BSP Drawing & Art Teacher) was assigned to judge this contest.

The Prize distribution ceremony was graced by Mr. Abhay Jaiswal (Asst. Project Officer, Samagra Shiksha, Durg), Mr. Amit Gosh (Asst. Director, District Education Office, Durg), Mr. J. Manoharan (Asst. Project Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha, Durg), the advisory Mr. Ratnakar Rao, Mr. S. Sajeev, Mr. Wilson Mammen and the renowned artist Mr. S. Swarnkar himself.

BECT’s Excellence Award 

Bhilai Education Charitable Trust ( BECT) felicitated one’s excellent contribution in a field like Academic, Sports & Arts.
“BECT Excellence Award” is not only a great prestige or a mark of excellence, but is also a tremendous boost for students to strive and excel higher and aim for even bigger accomplishments in life.

BECT’s Scholarship Screening Test 

Like every year, this year also Bhilai Education Charitable Trust (BECT) with the support of District Education Department, Durg conducted a scholarship screening test on 7th July 2019, Sunday (today) at J.R.D School, Durg for the BPL students studying in government schools and who scored more than  80% in class 10th.

Total 181 students participated in the screening test.

Since 2017 the Bhilai Education Charitable Trust (BECT) has been providing free coaching for JEE and NEET to the students of classes 11th and 12th of government schools. Till now 175 students received free coaching .

Bhilai Education Charitable Trust is proud to share with you the glimpses of our “Third anniversary awards” held in Bhilai 23rd of February 2017 at Chhattisgarh Engineering College Dhanora, Bhilai. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Ashutosh Chavre DEO and Mr. D.C Lunia; Special Guests invited to grace the event were Mr. Amit Ghosh Assistant DEO and Mr. Abhay Jaiswal Director DIET.

Category 1: Each Awardee received Merit Scholarship Cheque of ₹50,000, a certificate and a trophy.

Bhilai Education Charitable Trust is happy to share the first set of Scholarships given this year. We are very hopeful and would like to make 2016 a remarkable year with your help.

EMMS-IX celebrated 54th Annual Day on 2nd January, this was the second year in a row that BECT awarded scholarships in this school in Academics, Extra curricular, Sports and All rounder categories.

Chief Guest Mr. Kamalendu Das, GM(SMS-I) along with Head Mistress Aparna Banerjee gave away the excellence awards to the students which included a trophy, a cheque of ₹25,000/- and a certificate of appreciation.
Various dignitaries of Bhilai, the President of PTA Wilson Mammen, parents and students, attended the function.
The winners are:-
Rishika Kanungo : Academics
Very bright student, Rishika has a good academic record. Liked by her teachers she wants to be an Astronaut. She has won the title of “Spelling ka Sartaj” in School.
Anushka Reddy: Extra curricular
Multitalented Anushka has represented in state level spell bee competition, has won interschool debate competition and is good in academics. She is the house captain and head girl of the school.
Jivesh Kumar : Sports
Jivesh is a very hard working aspiring Bowler, he has represented school in various state and district level competitions. He is best Bowler of PCL and Durg Zone.
Shreyas Tankhiwale : All rounder Category
Shreyas is a Scout, who has also won various prizes in vedic quiz, NCO, Spell bee, Cricket, Ethics quiz, March past etc. Shreyas wants to fulfill his mother’s dream.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship

“Hardship steers us towards our real strengths.” Ushering into the New Year with this thought and delighted to announce that two “Merit cum Means Scholarship” of  Rs. 10,000 each and a certificate of appreciation, was given by BECT on a special event held at a School Principal’s Office in Bhilai on 28th December 2015.

The Principal of Delhi Public School Bhilai Mr.Parshant Vashistha obliged us, in presenting the awards to Rahul Singh, a Class 12th student of DAV Public School HUDCO Bhilai and to Shweta Yadav, a Class 10th student of Senior Secondary School Sector 7 Bhilai.

🎄🍪🎂🎁🎉 With Christmas spirits setting in Bhilai Education Charitable Trust (BECT) is in festivity mode!

Delhi Public School (DPS) Bhilai, celebrated Annual Sports day on the 23rd Dec 2015, we took this opportunity to give away the “Academic Excellence Awards” to the toppers of the academic year 2014-15 CBSE exams.

Mr. Mayank Shrivastav IPS, Superintendent of Police, Durg was the chief guest for this event accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Sangeeta Shrivastav who was the guest of honour.
The awards were given to awardees by Mrs.Shrivastav along with Principal DPS Bhilai Mr. Parshant Vashistha.

Recipients of the awards are:

2015

Annual day celebrations of SSS -10 “Abhivyanjana” took place in the school premises on the eve of 17th Dec 2015.
We are more than delighted to share the first wonderful news of the year.

Awards were given in 4 categories to the students who have proven their academic skills and constant growth; through a rigorous selection process. The recipients received awards from the chief guest ED(P&A) Mr. Sherpa.

Each Award consists of a trophy, certificate & a cash prize of RS. 25,000/-

  1. Humanities – Riti Choudhury
    Riti possess great writing skills and has shown constant growth in terms of achievements in academics. She is a poet at heart and have recited them during various occasions. She is also the editor of school magazine.
  2. Bio – Ashly Grace
    Ashly is an aspiring doctor. Ashly is very dedicated towards her studies and is always willing to help her peers. She has brought laurels to school in both sports and academics.
  3. Maths – Shashwat Maiti
    Shashwat is a hard working student who wants to serve our country with improved defense systems as he aims to work for advancing technology. Shashwat has shown exceptional improvement. He is very focused and has received high distinction awards.
  4. Sports – Sangeet Soni
    Sangeet is a cricketer. He has represented school in manye tournaments. He plays cricket from a very young age. He is recipient of Vijay Merchant Trophy, Cooch Behar trophy etc.
